  • Can this matress cover be used outside on a deck? We are looking at building an outside bed on our deck like the resorts have and figured this might be an option to cover a matress.
  • This cover could be used outside, although it may not be the preferred option. This is a great cover because it is breathable yet waterproof, but it has a terrycloth top, so the top will absorb water like a bath towel. The absorbed liquid will not go through to the mattress, but if it can not properly dry, it could mold and that scent will get threw to the mattress because it is breathable. The other solution we provide is a vinyl cover. There is no cloth top for this option, so it can be wiped dry immediately, but it does not breathe and will weather quickly in the heat and sunlight. With either option, you will want to bring it inside for winter as excessive cold can cause the waterproof material to become brittle and crack.

  • I have a mattress 20 inches deep will this work or do you have another one that will?
  • This products fits mattresses up to 16 inches deep. We do not have a zippered product which fits mattresses more than 16 inches deep. To purchase a zippered cover, you will need to get a custom cover. Call 800-998-7750 for information about a custom cover. we do carry waterproof mattress pads to protect your mattress which fit mattresses up to 20 inches deep. Our most popular mattress pad for deep mattresses is the Beautyrest Breathable Waterproof Mattress Pad which fits mattresses up to 20 inches deep.
