  I purchased this to protect our blankets and bedsheets from older cats that have hairballs issues. It does a great job and all that needs to be washed after an accident is the top cover and this duvet.   I bought it because my puppy had some accidents on our bed and I was sick of cleaning the comforter every time. Wonderfully waterproof/ stain proof.   This keeps the down comforter even warmer. I am always hot so I (even in winter) kick my covers off. My husband loves it........he's always cold.
